IBB appoints Head of Real Estate

David Silva has been appointed Head of the Real Estate Group at IBB Solicitors. The new appointment follows a period of concerted growth within the group, with two new partner hires from City firms within the last 6 months: commercial development lawyer, Vicky Stokes, from Berwin Leighton Paisner and construction specialist, Paul Brampton, from Taylor Wessing. The group has also promoted senior solicitors Jeff Elphee and Jon Mowbray to partner level. The Real Estate Group now comprises 12 partners and 10 assistants.
David Silva specialises in office, industrial, retail and hotel developments; development funding, including joint venture agreements; investment sales and acquisitions. He acts for a number of significant developer and investor clients, including Espalier Private Equity Group, Frontier Estates Limited, evolve Fund Services Limited and Mantle Estates Limited. He is listed as an expert in his area of practice in the Leading Experts Directory, the Legal 500 and Chambers UK.
