Profile

Sarah is in IBB's Commercial Dispute Resolution team. Sarah is an experienced commercial litigator, who specialises in chancery litigation, predominantly involving the Companies Act and high value professional negligence actions involving solicitors, accountants and financial advisors. She also undertakes high value commercial litigation, partnership disputes, and contractual claims. 

When necessary, Sarah is adept at obtaining emergency injunctions but is a strong supporter of mediation and is a skilled mediation advocate with an excellent settlement rate.

Reported cases include:

  • Oxford Legal Group Ltd v Sibbasbridge Services Plc (a claim pursued under s222 of the Companies Act 1985)
  • Battlebridge Group Limited v Hoyer Millar (whether a without prejudice offer is capable of acceptance).
  • National House Building Council v Relicpride Limited (how promptly should an application be made to set aside default judgment?)
