Mark Butler is a Consultant Senior Solicitor-Advocate attached to IBB’s Crown Court Department. He is a specialist in Criminal Law and originally qualified as a Barrister-at-Law before he obtained dual qualification as a Solicitor in 1997. Mark is also a qualified duty Solicitor. He was awarded Higher Rights in 1998 and has continued to practice almost exclusively in the Crown Courts ever since.
Mark has developed a wide experience in defending cases of murder, manslaughter, serious sexual offences (including rape, incest, and child abuse), GBH, fraud and public order offences. He is a member of the LSC’s VHCC Panel and is entitled to Lead VHCC Cases as an Advocate.
