Hema Kerai is a Personal Injury specialist with extensive experience of employers’ liability claims, in particular those involving manual handling and faulty work equipment. She also handles a variety of public liability and road traffic accident cases and high-value criminal injury compensation claims. She has a particular interest in claims involving psychological and brain injuries.

Hema's cases regularly consist of multiple injuries, psychological injuries, claims involving extensive rehabilitation and future lifetime losses.

Notable Cases

Hema acted for a member of the armed forces who was injured in a road accident whilst on holiday. As a result of her psychological injuries, she was forced to leave the Navy and embark on an alternative career.

She has also acted for a mother, whose child sustained multiple fractures and died whilst in the care of his father and stepmother. Claims were pursued against the hospital and social services for failing in their duty of care towards the child.

Additionally, Hema has acted for a number of workers with serious hand injuries, securing awards in excess of £250,000.
