Chesham Bois Fete

  • Posted

Chesham Bois Parish Council will hold its bi-annual summer Fete on the village common off North Road on Saturday June 14th. As always, this aims to be the embodiment of a glorious traditional English mid-summer event and is always a much-anticipated highlight of the local Buckinghamshire calendar. The Fete formally starts at 12noon and, to extend the carnival atmosphere of the Brazil World Cup tournament (indeed, in anticipation of England’s first match against Italy later that evening), Simon Damery – manager of local football team Amersham FC – will formally open the event. The Fete will include live music from “Get Rythm”, traditional maypole dancing by Heatherton School, an exhibition from the Taylor Hill school of dancing, belly-dancing and a Zumba demonstration (turn up to find out more!). In addition, fun for all the family can be enjoyed on the bouncy castle and the climbing wall. There will a BBQ lunch, a bar and afternoon tea as well as the usual selection of stalls offering high produce ware. The Fete will close at 4pm.
