Together, we achieve more: Child and adult safeguarding conference

IBB’s Malcolm Underhill joins safeguarding professionals from every discipline to explore the challenges of inter-professional working and communication in safeguarding practice.

Malcolm is presenting a workshop with psychotherapist Dr Narendra Keval, entitled: Greater than the sum of its parts: working together and working smarter to achieve better outcomes for victims of child abuse

Keynote speakers at the conference are Professor Lord Patel of Bradford, OBE and Sharon Shoesmith.

The conference will explore the challenges of inter-professional working and communication in safeguarding practice, discussing both adults and children safeguarding. Professionals working in the safeguarding arena with be able to network, foster inter-professional discussion and increase understanding of professionals working together. The event will also include facilitated workshops led by representatives of Safeguarding Boards, Social Workers, the Police, Early Years and Nursing colleagues.

Lord Kamlesh Patel and Sharon Shoesmith are confirmed as keynote speakers, and will be able to share their experiences about the complexities of inter-professional working.
