Jelena Serbic


Jelena qualified as a Solicitor in 2018 and now works within the Charities team, advising on charity law and commercial matters.

Amongst other things, Jelena advises and deals with the formation and registration of new charities, incorporation of existing charities, and governance and regulatory matters affecting charities and not for profit organisations.

Jelena also assists the team with contractual arrangements and negotiations, data protection law, and intellectual property matters such as trademark registrations and licences.

Jelena joined IBB as a trainee. She spent her first seat with the Wills, Trusts and Probate department in Chesham where she assisted with Will drafting, Trusts, Lasting Power of Attorney, Probate and the administration of estates and Court of Protection applications. Jelena spent her second seat within IBB’s Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence department working on high-value clinical negligence and personal injury claims. Her third seat was spent with the Charities team and her final seat was spent working with the Family department in our Chesham office.

Education: Jelena studied Law at University of Sussex (2:1) and completed her Legal Practice Course (LLM) at the University of Law in Guildford (distinction).
