Mark Chester is part of the crime team. He is highly experienced with over 10 years experience in general crime.
Mark has a wide range of knowledge on communication devices such as call line identity, spoofing phones including Encrochat used within organised crime groups (OCG). He has represented individuals, facing investigation and proceedings brought by ROCU, NCA and CPS. His aim is always to avoid criminal proceedings, but if that proves impossible, Mark is able to advise and guide individuals throughout the entire investigation and trial process from interview under caution, to charge and trial.
R v D & 4 others – Maidenhead Crown Court. The client was referred to by the Judge as the leading light in an OCG he was facing 15 years on a leading role. After a successful plea on a basis, he was convicted for Seven years.
R v D – Southwark Crown Court . The client was accused of being part of a Russian/Romanian OCG who stole diamonds from a London high street Jewellers. After a lengthy Trial she was Acquitted.
R v S & 11 others – Harrow Crown Court . This OCG involved Italian/Brazilian members. The client was a leading role. She was charged with Conspiracy to control prostitution for gain, being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and being in possession of a prohibited weapon. Following a lengthy trial, she was found not guilty by the jury of the most serious count of conspiring to keep a person in servitude, and weapons offences. Convicted of controlling prostitution and drugs offences.
