Raveena joined the Education department in January 2022 as an Associate.
Raveena read law at Brunel University and graduated in 2002. She completed her Legal Practice Course in 2003 and undertook a Masters in European Studies in 2004. After several years working in various Paralegal roles, she qualified as a Solicitor in 2010.
Upon qualification, Raveena joined a large regional practice in Reading. She was instructed by Claimants with Asbestos related conditions and worked predominately on high value claims.
In 2012, Raveena moved to working for a UK top 50 practice in London where she built on her experience in asbestos related conditions. She had conduct of employers liability and public liability claims. Her experience spans 12 years of contentious claims handling and representing clients on high value cases in the County Court and High Court. She spent 9 years representing insurance companies, global enterprises, and national corporations. Raveena is an experienced litigator and adopts a versatile approach depending on the needs of the particular client after years of representing both Claimants and Defendants.
Raveena will work with Salima Mawji in the Education department and looks forward to building her practice within the department.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, together with running and walking. She has completed various half marathons for charity and hopes to continue raising money for locally based charities.
