IBB Solicitors Achieves High Rankings in Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners

Leading West London and South Buckinghamshire-based law firm IBB Solicitors has achieved fantastic rankings in the latest editions of Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.

Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 are the leading independent guides to the legal profession and this year IBB Solicitors has built upon its strong reputation across a large number of practice areas. The directories provide full, in-depth and comprehensive analysis of law firms across the UK and IBB features prominently in the South-East category in Legal 500 and the Thames Valley (Watford, Uxbridge and surrounds) region in Chambers & Partners.

Band 1 Highlights

In Chambers & Partners the Charities, Crime, Construction and Real Estate Litigation teams all maintain their impressive Band One ranking. The Employment, Information Technology, Personal Injury, Real Estate and Restructuring/Insolvency teams have been listed in Band One for the first time. Chambers & Partners has also recognised individual IBB solicitors in these teams for achieving excellence in their practice areas. Joanne Coleman in the Charities team is described as ‘incredibly knowledgeable’ and ‘constantly driving the process forward to ensure that nothing fell behind or things were missed’.

This year IBB has an outstanding seven teams in the top tier in Legal 500. The Crime, Employment, Personal Tax and Probate, Family, Charities, Commercial Litigation and Commercial Property teams all maintained their top tier ranking. IBB has a ‘very good commercial litigation department‘, with practice head Paul Kite praised as a ‘measured and sensible commercial litigator with excellent interpersonal skills’.

Band 2 Highlights

IBB’s Private Client, Dispute Resolution and Family teams are in Band Two for the first time in Chambers & Partners, moving up from Band Three. The service provided by the Private Client team was described as ‘excellent in terms of both response times and the quality of legal expertise’. In addition, Jacqueline Almond received recognition as a notable practitioner in the UK-wide Court of Protection category, being described by clients as “versatile, intelligent and helpful.”

The IT and Telecoms team have moved up to Band Two in Legal 500 for the first time. The team and firm as a whole are noted for capitalising on their proximity to Heathrow and acting for a number of international subsidiaries in the area.

Band 3 Highlights

In Chambers & Partners the Banking and Finance and the Corporate team are both ranked in Band Three. The banking and finance team are described as ‘very good –they are professional and knowledgeable’.

Regional Recognition and Leading Individuals

Within the regional overview in Legal 500, IBB Solicitors is a highly regarded Band Two firm.

Susan Mawson for the fourth year in a row is a ranked as a leading individual in Legal 500. Peter Burnett of the Charities team is named as a Senior Statesman in Chambers & Partners. Eight other Partners at IBB were ranked as Band One individuals in Chambers & Partners.
