IBB Solicitors Secures Top Accolade from Law Society

Leading West London and South Bucks-based law firm IBB Solicitors has secured the national Law Society's law highly regarded management quality mark, Lexcel.

Lexcel is developed specifically for the legal profession. It is an optional, recognised accreditation scheme for law firms and in-house legal departments which gives assurances to clients that a practice meets high client care and business management standards.

To gain and retain Lexcel accreditation IBB Solicitors had to undergo a rigorous initial application and assessment process. This includes conducting background checks and an on-site visit from an experienced, trained Lexcel assessor. IBB Solicitors will then be assessed annually and must pass in order to retain the accreditation.

Client care is fundamental to IBB Solicitors’ firmwide strategy and has undergone continuous improvement over the past 12 months. As a result, client care is incorporated into induction and transition programmes at IBB Solicitors and the exceptional standards are reinforced and supported through ongoing learning and development for all staff.

Steven Booth, Managing Partner at IBB Solicitors, said:

“While we are delighted to have secured Lexcel, it is our clients and staff who are the main beneficiaries. They can be assured that the way we manage the practice has their interests at heart and runs efficiently.

“Last year, 83 per cent of our clients, in our online and postal survey, indicated that ‘IBB go the extra mile’; 90 per cent said ‘overall the quality of communication was excellent’; and 81 per cent said they received ‘value for money’. This Lexcel accreditation demonstrates our continued commitment to client care and best practice.”

John Wotton, President of the Law Society of England and Wales, said:

“Achieving Lexcel accreditation proves a serious commitment to the continual development of the practice's management standards. Practices opt to undertake the rigorous application and assessment process for the optional scheme to help demonstrate their investment in their business.

“By implementing policies, plans and procedures within Lexcel's key areas, such client service and risk management, practices can show the positive steps they are taking to help clients in the increasingly diverse, complicated and competitive legal market. Lexcel acts as a beacon of quality to clients and potential clients alike.”
