Sandford Springs Golf Day

Many thanks to all who attended our first Reading golf day at Sandford Springs.

6 teams fought it out for the honours and each hosted by an IBB partner. It was unfortunate that one team was led by Richard Devall who, whilst it is acknowledged that he is an excellent employment lawyer, those talents don’t transfer onto the golf course. With much anticipation Richard teed the ball up on the first with only one objective in mind, to clear the water. He did so successfully although it should be noted that the ball only had to travel 30 yards and he still managed to give the ducks a fright!!!

Steven Haywards team triumphed and walked away with the spoils although all seemed to enjoy the friendly format, the golf course and the simplicity of the day. Everyone was on the road by 5.30 having been fed and watered with time to catch up with old friends as well as make some new ones. That is of course with the exception of messrs Kite, Dowdney and Devall who required further rehydration.
