Charities and the Lobbying Bill

Following significant criticism and concern about the potential (unintended) consequences of the Lobbying Bill on charities, the government agreed to amend it to ensure that charities’ campaigning is not inadvertently caught by it. However many in the third sector do not consider that the amendments made do not address all concerns sufficiently. Charities involved in campaigning are advised to speak to their legal advisors to ensure they comply with the new laws which are expected to be in force prior to the next “election period”. IBB Solicitors’ specialist Charities Legal Team has a wealth of experience in delivering practical commercial advice to charities and not for profit organisations, and those who work with them.
