HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) has announced that it plans to introduce a new online database of employment tribunal decisions in Autumn 2016. The new database will cover judgements in both England and Wales and Scotland. Currently, paper copies of England and Wales judgements are held at Bury St Edmunds and judgements from Scotland are stored separately in Glasgow. The database will initially only cover new judgements. HMCTS has yet to make a decision on whether existing judgements will be made available online. If this is introduced then claimant solicitors will no doubt use any previous judgement against respondent/employers.
