Chambers High Net Worth Guide recognises IBB lawyers

The Chambers & Partners High Net Worth Guide – widely accepted as the leading directory for ranking lawyers in specialist high net worth areas of law – yesterday announced the results for its latest edition

Once again, IBB Law ranks as a leading firm in Private Wealth Law in our region. Partner, Jacqueline Almond retains her band 1 and partner Joanna Mills is ranked for the first time.

The Chambers HNW guide notes that:

Jacqueline Almond has extensive expertise advising clients on probate, estate administration and tax planning.  A source enthuses: “She is very empathetic; she is very good at explaining circumstances and situations to people. She does not blind people with science; she explains an important part of what is going on, why it is important to them and where they all benefit from going through this process. She pitches it right.”

Newly ranked private client partner, Joanna Mills is described as:

Joanna Mills has substantial experience advising wealthy clients on estate planning, tax and wills. She also has expertise advising on family investment companies. A source says: “Within a minute she instils confidence in the client. She is technically superb but with a great personality to match.”

Commentators interviewed by Chambers & Partners say of IBB’s team:

I like their ethos; they are a very client-friendly firm. They are very proactive about mediations and settlements, and putting the client’s best interests first.

They are willing to step in and help clients in terms of powers of attorney and more complex intergenerational transfer issues.

Amanda Melton, Head of the Private Client Group at IBB commented:

I am delighted that, once again, Jacqueline and her team have been recognised for the exceptional service they deliver to our clients. I would like to specifically congratulate Joanna Mills for her ranking – a well deserved recognition of the work she does. As the guide puts it “She is technically superb but with a great personality to match.”
