Victoria Denis

Victoria is a specialist education solicitor with a primary focus on further and higher education law. She has extensive experience handling cases of non-academic misconduct, assault, battery, and sexual misconduct at universities. Victoria has represented clients in disputes with large media companies, publications, and universities.

Her expertise includes the Equality Act 2010, covering disability discrimination, race discrimination, and sex discrimination. Victoria has a particular interest in LGBTQ+ issues, free speech, the developing role of artificial intelligence in academic misconduct.

She has guided students through university complaints procedures and the appeals process to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator.

Additionally, she advises parents on a range of school-related issues, including discrimination, bullying, safeguarding, gender questioning, special educational needs, and exclusions.

Victoria also has experience with cross-jurisdictional work in the US and EU.

Victoria holds a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Florida, an LLB from the University of Birmingham, and a Master’s from City, University of London. Her dissertation focused on the impact of misinformation on the dissemination of harmful online content in light of the developing Online Safety Act.
