Charity chief executive pay to be considered by Public Administration Select Committee

Over recent months there has been criticism in the press over the level of remuneration some charity Chief Executives are receiving. As a result, the Public Administration Select Committee, as part of its on-going work into the regulation of charities, has called for evidence on the pay of charity Chief Executives, with the window for written submissions closing on 3 December and oral evidence being heard at a hearing on 17 December. In addition, the NCVO has created an inquiry panel to look into Chief Executive pay in charities and it aims to publish recommendations in spring 2014.
