Felicity Barratt

Felicity Barratt is a Senior Associate in IBB Law’s commercial property team and acts for individuals, businesses and financial institutions on all aspects of commercial property transactions. Felicity has a focus on providing practical and commercial advice with experience acting for corporate and individual clients in the following areas of expertise:

  • Landlord and Tenant – advising on the taking and grant of leases of commercial property both short term and longer term or virtual freeholds;
  • Acquisitions and disposals – acting in relation to the acquisition and disposal of land, buildings whether for immediate occupation or long term investment and development.
  • Corporate sales and acquisitions – whether share or asset sales involving significant real estate assets and liabilities including advising on and co-ordinating transactions with a multijurisdictional aspect.
  • Banking – advising high street lenders, individuals and commercial borrowers in relation to taking or granting security over residential and commercial property and complying with conditions precedent for drawdown.

  • Key dates: Qualified as a solicitor (2006) ; Legal Practice Course completed at BPP Law School, London (2003); BA in Law from Jesus College, University of Cambridge (2002)
  • Career: Felicity qualified at an international law firm based in the City of London, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, and practiced there from 2004-2014 including office secondments to Madrid and Dubai and a client secondment in Abu Dhabi.
  • Memberships: Law Society of England and Wales ; City of London Law Society and The City of London Solicitors Company.
