IBB Solicitors Advises Sabio’s Management Team on £50 Million Buy Out

Leading law firm IBB Solicitors (IBB) has advised Sabio Limited’s Management Team, (Sabio), the customer contact technology centre specialist, on a management buy-out backed by private equity firm Lyceum Capital Partners (Lyceum) which valued the business at approximately £50 million.

Sabio is a leading contact centre technology specialist, delivering customer contact equipment solutions to a wide range of global organisations. Sabio utilises technology to transform operations and provide a holistic service including business consulting, training and systems integration to clients.

This investment will enable Sabio to continue its strategic growth – following its organic expansion since its formation. With Lyceum’s backing Sabio will continue to extend its reach and offering of telecommunications solutions on a global scale.

The IBB Team advising the management team was led by Adam Dowdney, Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Department and included Richard Devall, Employment Partner, who provided employment advice.

Lyceum was advised by Pinsent Masons and the founder shareholders were advised by Norton Rose Fulbright.

Commenting on the deal, Adam Dowdney, said:

“This was a complex and challenging transaction, but we are extremely proud to have worked on this significant buy-out and look forward to working with the management team as they continue to grow and develop Sabio in the next phase of its development. We thoroughly enjoyed working with the management team and Lyceum on the deal and all parties worked extremely hard to get the deal complete on a tight timetable. The deal showed IBB’s strength in depth and significant private equity expertise and we wish all at Sabio every success in the future”.

Andrew Roberts, CEO at Sabio Ltd, and part of the management team, commented:

“The management team were absolutely delighted with the advice and support provided by Adam, Richard and the team at IBB. It was the first time we had been through a process such as this and their professionalism, efficiency, hard work and practical, commercial advice was invaluable in ensuring we felt comfortable during every stage of the transaction. Their attention to detail and availability at all times were exemplary and we also thoroughly enjoyed working with them which was crucial. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone embarking on a similar process seeking a trusted partner to provide clear, commercial and value added advice”.
